THE CAREER DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

A supportive, challenging program that fosters critical thinking and practical coping skills for those individuals seeking to enter or return to the workplace. The program offers vocational assessment, life skills classes, pre-employment preparation, computer skills training, career/vocational/pre-college counseling, internships, and job placement and follow-up support.

What does the Career Development Program do?

The program helps clients:

Prepare for the workforce
To secure and retain employment
Get more training and education

What services are offered?

Job readiness course: interviewing, resumes, cover letters, etc.
Job coaching and presentation skills
Referrals to direct job placements
Vocational assessments
Career guidance
Introduction to office computer technology
Job placement assistance
Follow-up for program graduates to support job retention and improvement
Job retention support
