Education The Educational Center The program offers instruction in basic reading and writing, English to Speakers of Other Languages, and GED preparation. Classes are open to anyone 16 years and older and not enrolled in school. The Center also provides counseling, tutoring, youth leadership activities, case manage- ment, and GED testing. HIV/AIDS Services The Outreach Center The Outreach Center provides community outreach, referral, and educational presentations relating to HIV/AIDS, general at-risk behaviors, sexually transmitted infections and communicable disesases; crisis intervention and case management services to walks-in and referrals; and HIV testing. A mobile health unit offers van-based counseling and testing and limited medical services during the off-peak hours across the borough of Brooklyn. Medical Health Medical Primary Care Clinic - A co-located facility staffed part-time by Dr. Jordan B. Glaser, an Infectious Disease Specialist, Dr. Jill Tolia, a Phy- sician's Assistant, Phlebotomist, and Nurse Practitioner. Dr. Glaser and Turning Point are members of SIBRO, a Staten Island/Brooklyn part- nership of 6 HIV/AIDS providers. Alcohol and Substance Abuse Services The Exodus Program A NYS Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services licensed substance abuse treatment program. It provides medically supervised outpatient chemical dependency services to persons who have a recent or past chemical dependency history. Services are also available to significant others of persons who have a chemical dependency history. The program also provides relapse prevention services for persons who have 30 days or more clean time. The staff is comprised of 10 Qualified Health Professionals and includes a Medical Doctor, Psychiatrist, Physician Assistant, Social Worker, CASACs and CASAC-Ts who provide an array of clinical and other services to the clients in a safe, caring, and confidential environment.
