Ernest Priester Program Director, Scattered Site Housing 718-360-8109 eprieste@tpdomi.org Ernest Priester is the Director of the Scattered-Site Housing Program. He joined the program in 1994 as a Substance Abuse Specialist. He subsequently became a Crisis Intervention/Prevention Specialist on the Scattered-Site staff and was appointed its Director of Housing in 1996. He is currently responsible for 170 housing units. Mr. Priester has more than 20 years' experience in social services as a counselor and administrator of outreach programs having worked in a variety of settings serving special needs populations. As Scattered-Site's Program Director, he brings a unique perspective to his work, one that combines sensitivity to clients with skills in housing management. Mr. Priester was educated at John Jay College, is a certified pre- and post-test counselor, and holds many certificates in social service, substance abuse, and other health care trainings. |
Victoria Brown Program Director, Scattered Site, MICA 718-473-3881 vbrown@tpdomi.org Victoria Brown is the Program Director of Turning Point's MICA Scattered-Site Housing Program, which provides housing support sevices for over 100 indivduals. She joined Turning Point in May 2009 having had extensive and progressive experience working with the homeless and other special needs populations as a Case Manager, Coordinator, Facility Manager, and Program Director. She holds a Master's Degree in Public Administration, a Bachelor's Degree in Professional Studies in Human Services, and an Associate Arts Degree in Early Childhood Education. |
Candace Date Program Manager, Turning Point Red Hook Housing 718-233-3993 cdate@tpdomi.org Candace Date is Program Manager of Turning Point's single room occupancy facility in Red Hook. Ms. Date has had a varied career in human services as an Activities Coordinator, Case Manager, Project Coordinator/Peer Trainer in several Brooklyn-based community organizations. In her current position which she assumed in 2008, she supervises a 3-person staff that is responsible for providing client and housing maintenance services to 30 residents. |
David Perez Program Director, Sunset Terrace 718-360-8112 dperez@tpdomi.org David Perez is the Program Director of the Sunset Terrace Youth Shelter. Mr. Perez, a member of our Housing Management Team, joined Turning Point in 2003 as a Client Worker and progressively advanced to Program Coordinator and Senior Resident Manager in our housing program. He is currently responsible for obtaining properties and has been involved with the Homeless and Runaway Youth Project since its inception. He is the 2005 recipient of Turning Point's "Achievement Award for Social Justice and Service." Mr. Perez holds an Associate's Degree from Kingsborough Community College and a Certificate in the Management of Supportive Housing. |
Iesha Moore Program Director, TP Transitional Housing 718-233-3991 imoore@tpdom.org Iesha Moore is the Director of Turning Point's Transitional Housing Program. Ms. Moore started at Turning Point in 1997 as a Peer Educator. Since then, she has undertaken a series of challenging assignments as a Case Manager, Client Worker, Intake Coordinator, Employment Counselor, Program Manager, and Program Director, first of our single room occupancy facility in Red Hook and now as head of our transitional shelter for young women, 18-25, supervising a staff of over 20 full- and part-time workers. Ms. Moore holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Medgar Evers College. |

Jacqueline Burgos Director of Client Services, Scattered-Site Housing Program 718-360-8111 jburgos@tpdomi.org Jacqueline Burgos has been with Turning Point's Scattered-Site Housing Program since 1998, progressing through a series of positions as a COBRA Case Manager, Mental Health Practitioner, and Assistant Director, to become the program's current Director of Client Services. An experienced supervisor and bilingual special educator, knowledgeable about social service systems and program planning, Ms. Burgos had previously served as a Program Coordinator at the Salvation Army, a Group Leader at the Children's Growing Place, and a Special Educator at the U.C.P./Hearst Children Center, The Jewish Guild for the Blind, and St. Luke's/Roosevelt Hospital. Ms. Burgos received her Associate's Degree in Mental Health from Borough of Manhattan Community College (CUNY) and her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology (major) and Education (minor) from Hunter College (CUNY). She holds many training certificates in counseling issues, HIV/AIDS, and other areas of human services and is currently enrolled in the Graduate Program at the Hunter College School of Social Work. |
